Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils distilled from plants to promote a well balanced healthy lifestyle. The word aromatherapy is derived from two words aroma meaning ‘smell’ and therapy which stands for ‘healing’. Using gentle massage, essential oils are absorbed into the bloodstream via the skin.
Aromatherapists practice holistically (treating the whole person) and will find oils that suit you physically and emotionally.
Some of the conditions that aromatherapy is used for:
Anxiety/stress/insomnia
Headaches
Digestive problems
Muscular aches and pains
Menstrual or menopausal problems
On your first consultation you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire so the therapist can find out which oils you will need at that time for your complete well-being.
