A Chiropractor will treat disorders of the musculoskeletal locomotor system that lead to:

• Back pain
• Neck pain
• Headaches
• Sporting injuries
• Muscular pain

Manipulation, mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, dry needling and stretches are all used to decrease pain and improve function. 
Chiropractic patients are given individualised rehabilitation programs that combine: self-mobilisation, stretches, functional retraining exercises to improve balance, strength and co-ordination.

The first visit takes up to 60 minutes in which the Chiropractor will undertake a comprehensive medical history, complaint history, and a neurological muscular skeletal examination of the patient.  A series of functional tests may also be carried out. 

You will be treated on the first visit unless further testing such as X-rays are required.  A chiropractic treatment plan and working prognosis will be given and the approximate number of visits will be indicated.  Patients normally follow a course of treatments and when they are free of dysfunction they are discharged from care.
