Hot stone massage uses smooth, heated stones. These are basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. Hot Stone Massage is both deeply relaxing and helps tight muscles release.
During the massage, the therapist warms up the body with traditional massage then massages while holding a heated stone. As the stone cools, the therapist replaces it with another. The hot stone massage therapist might also leave heated stones in specific points to improve the flow of energy in your body.

Wendy has been qualified and practising massage since 2004 after completing and qualifying for the ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage.
She then went on to study Sports Massage and remedial Bodywork at the Raworth College in Dorking. Wendy also has a diploma for Hot Stone Therapy.
She also belongs to the Complimentary Therapists Association and the Sports Massage Association.
She has worked in a variety of environments ranging from clinic work, as a mobile therapist and also on site at sporting events.
Wendy believes massage should be an essential part of everyone’s fitness and well-being routine as its benefits are so far reaching.
