The ultimate focus of Clinical Massage is to help people out of pain or to reduce it significantly enough to improve quality of life, increase range of motion, improve posture and to treat general stress/tension.
Clinical massage addresses and treats the source of pain (be it caused by injury, postural problems or other chronic conditions) in a gradual and sensitive way, always working within the client’s comfort zone. After-care advice is provided which can include teaching clients stretches or relaxation techniques to do at home between treatments to help the recovery process.
This effective treatment draws on a range of techniques including deep tissue work, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, soft tissue release, stretching and hot and cold therapy for the treatment of a range of specific conditions including;
- Frozen shoulder
- Sciatica and chronic lower back pain
- RSI conditions (e.g. tennis/golfers elbow)
- Migraines and headaches
- Carpal Tunnel
- Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
- Whiplash and more…
