Hot Stone Massage
What is Hot Stone Massage?
Hot stone massage is a speciality treatment which can work much deeper than a traditional massage.
This wonderfully calming treatment uses smooth heated basalt stones (volcanic stones known for their heat retaining qualities) as part of the massage; both as an extension of the therapist’s hands and by placing stones on specific points on the body to improve the flow of energy in the body.
What conditions can be treated with Hot Stone Massage?

Hot Stone Fusion Massage – with Paula Chapman
This is the ultimate luxurious treatment for both relaxation and remedial work. Smooth, heated, natural basalt stones are used in a dynamic way to warm the body creating a deeply soothing and blissful treatment. I use the stones as an extension of my hands, massaging the body, I will also leave them to rest in the hands, on the lower back and feet for added indulgence….truly nurturing!
If you are suffering with pain, combining hot stones with an Advanced Clinical massage hugely increases the effectiveness of the treatment. The therapeutic addition of heat
speeds up the process of relaxing the muscle allowing for much deeper and effective work, it also decreases pain by producing a slight anaesthetic effect.
Hot stones can be combined with any of my treatments or as a truly blissed out relaxation treatment – a perfect gift for a loved one.
