Pregnancy Massage

What is Pregnancy Massage?

The therapist focuses on the individual needs of a mother-to-be, as her body goes through changes ahead of the childbirth experience. This massage is very soothing and helps mothers to deeply relax and connect with their baby. Treatment is either carried out on a Pregnancy Massage Body Cushion support, which safely enables mother to be lying face down, this equipment fully supports baby and is incredibly comfortable. Or by the traditional method of lying sideways supported with pillows.

I can also work more deeply with you to provide significant pain relief at this special time particularly in treating common ailments during and after pregnancy including;

To make you feel fully comfortable I will work with you in the side-lying position using pillows and bolsters to support neck, bump and knees. You will be covered with towels and blankets, with only the body part that is being worked on exposed.

Following the birth, post-natal massage can help the body to recover and re-balance and provide a peaceful, calm and nurturing experience.
