NEW Pilates class with Rachel

Rachel has practised Pilates for 9 years and taught for 2 years in Brighton and Hove.

At My Pilates, Mat work is a core workout, using our bodies as weights to strengthen our cores and stretch our bodies. All Levels are welcome as I teach different levels of the same exercise as we go along. And if you want a tough core workout you can pump it up or if you need more of a stretch you can just use the class for the stretches. Everyone works at their own pace and capability.

Pilates helps for tightening up those tummy muscles and help to prevent back/neck pain.

Pilates intermediate with Karen Manghan

Karen has recently trained with Carolyn Bailey at Tula Training to gain a level 3 Pilates mat work qualification, Karen has been practicing Pilates since 2003, when an osteopath suggested that Pilates may help her congenital hip dysplasia. Regular Pilates classes not only helped to strengthen her weakened hips, but also reversed the postural problems which had manifested as a result, leading to reduced pain and full mobility.

Hatha Yoga – Wednesday evenings

Gentle movement and deep stretching, using the breath to guide the body. Improve strength, flexibility and release tension. As well as physical posture work, classes will always include some breathing, relaxation and/or meditation practises to help calm busy minds. Suitable for everyone, including beginners. You do not have to be fit or flexible to come to yoga!
